Just like in the previous edition, the idea was simple: each people holds an empty frame, but instead of seeing the body and face of the person, you only see the background. The various places are in the town of Urbino and they are related to University life, such as classrooms, colleges, food services, administration, labs. I wanted to achieve a natural look, so I used no additional lighting. I took two photos for each set, one with the person and the frame, and another empty one. Then I edited the two images together to obtain the final look. The final book was designed by muschi&licheni studio, which also supervised the photoshoot.
Check out the backstage of this work on my grigioneutro post.
